WHO WE ARE

In the desire to establish a religious community, whose basis was entirely based on Jesus Christ, Son of God, author and finisher of our faith and under the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit, some Christian members, coming from the Christian Congregation in Brazil, inspired by God and confirmed by His sound and faithful Word, they gathered in “General Assembly” and founded the ICC, CHRISTIAN CONGREGATION CHURCH.

OUR MISSION

Worship God and our beloved Savior Jesus Christ; Live in  Communion; Proclaim the Word of God revealed by   Holy Spirit to all;  Disciple converts to inherit eternal life with glory in Heaven; To love everyone as brothers in Christ Jesus.

OUR COMMUNITY

We are united with all Christians in the proclamation of the Lord  Jesus Christ. We believe that, in divine love, God offers all peoples forgiveness of sins and restored relationships. In reconciliation with God, we believe that all of us must also be reconciled to one another, loving one another as we have been loved by God, forgiving one another as we have been forgiven by God in Jesus Christ. We believe that our community life exemplifies the character of Christ to the world.

OUR FAITH

  1st)  We believe the entire Bible and accept it as the infallible Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Word of God is the only and perfect guide of our faith and conduct, and to It nothing can be added or diminished from It. It is also the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.  (II Peter, 121, II Tim., 3:16,17; Rom. 1:16);

2)  We believe that there is one true and living God, eternal and infinite in power, Creator of all things, in whose unity there are three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  (Eph. 4:6; Matt. 28:19; I John 5:7);

3)  We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the Word made flesh, having assumed a human nature in the womb of the Virgin Mary, and therefore He possesses two natures, divine and human; that is why he is called true God and true man, and he is the only Savior, for he suffered death through the guilt of all men.  (Luke 1:27,35; John 1:14; 1 Peter 3:18);

4)  We are aware of the personal existence of the devil and his angels, evil spirits who, along with him, will be punished in the eternal fire.  (Matt. 25:41);

5th)  We believe that regeneration, or the new birth, is only received through faith in Jesus Christ, who for our sins was delivered and rose again for our justification. Those who are in Christ Jesus are new creatures. Jesus Christ, for us, was made by God wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption.  (Rom. 3:24 and 25; I Cor. 1:30; II Cor. 5:17);

6th)  We believe in water baptism, with one immersion, in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts, 2:38) and in the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Matt., 28:18,19);

7th)  We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with evidence of new tongues, as the Holy Spirit grants to be spoken. (Acts 2:4; 10:45-47; 19:6);

8th)  We believe in the Holy Supper. Jesus Christ, on the night of his betrayal, taking bread and giving thanks, broke it and gave it to the disciples, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me”. Likewise he took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the New Testament in my blood, which is shed for you." (Luke 22:19,20; I Cor., 11:24,25);

9th)  We believe in the need to abstain from things sacrificed to idols, blood, strangled flesh and fornication, as the Holy Spirit showed in the assembly in Jerusalem. (Acts, 15:28,29; 16:4; 21:25);

10)  We believe that Jesus Christ took our infirmities upon Himself. "Is anyone among you sick? Call the elders of the Church, and pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.” (Matt. 8:17; James, 5:14,15);

11th)  We believe that the same lord (before the millennium) will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God; and those who died in Christ will rise first, then we, who are left alive, will be caught up with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we will always be with the Lord. (I Thess., 4:16,17; Rev. 20:6);

12th)  We believe that there will be a bodily resurrection of the dead, righteous and unrighteous, these will go into eternal torment, but the righteous into eternal life. (Acts, 24:15; Matt., 25:46).
